Ciao a tutti, noi di Pentagonne vogliamo dedicare un nostro piccolo tributo alla cantante e songwriter Amy Winehouse, che é  mancata in circostanze poco chiare a soli 27 anni poche settimane fa. Ha lasciato un segno anche nel fashion world, con il suo stile da pin-up degli anni ’50, i suoi tatuaggi, l’eye-liner nero sempre ben definito e l’amore struggente per il suo Blake Fielder-Civil.

A me ha colpito particolarmente che avesse la mia stessa età. Ma soprattutto penso che abbia colpito tutti con la sua voce. Era unica, indelebile e emozionante. Qui potete trovare due inediti, che mi ha suggerito una sua fan, mia zia. Perché Amy non era un fenomeno da ragazzine, o meglio non solo. La sua voce colpiva tutti. I suoi testi erano autobiografici e forse é proprio per questo che ti lasciavano qualcosa dentro, oltre ad un bel motivetto come la canzone “they try to make me go in rehab…I said no no no….”.

“Love is a loosing game” e “Back to black” sono le mie preferite.

Karl Lagerfeld l’ha definita non solo una musa, ma un genio. Una delle voci più belle. Concordo anche io. Ho incontrato molte teenagers che indossavano la mini e le ballerine, con sopra una polo di Fred Perry, proprio come lei. Addirittura una ragazza tedesca che lavorava in una macelleria di Tubingen, in Germania, era pettinata con la cofana identica a quella di Amy. C’erano anche dei ragazzi con cui ho parlato che ne subivano il fascino della bad girl.

Ciao Pentagonne! We would like to dedicate our tribute to singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse, who died a few days ago under unknown circumstances at the age of 27.

She has influenced the fashion world, with her 50s pin-up style, her unique tattoos, the strong marked black eye-liner and the love of her life Blake Fielder-Civil.

She had my same age. This is something that made me think about it. I think she had an astonished voice. It was unique, permanent and touching. Here you can find two unreleased songs, which were suggested by a fan of her, my aunt. Because Amy wasn’t a teenager idol, or not only. Her soul touched everybody’s feeling. Her texts were autobiographical and maybe that’s the reason why you could feel part of it. Of  course, you’ll be singing the tune “they try to make me go in rehab…I said no no no….”

Karl Lagerfeld said once that she is not only a muse, but also a genius. One of the most beautiful voices of our time. I agree.

Many teenager girls I’ve met dressed like her a mini, with ballerina shoes and a Fred Perry polo. Once I was at the butcher in Tubinger, Germany, and the girls who served my order had her hair styled the same way as Amy. I’ve also met boys who thought she was an attractive bad girl.
